Sheesh, I was so busy last week I somehow missed a huge release! Ext has finally stabilized the codebase and released Alpha 1 into the wild. I’ve been playing around with the SVN releases and can say that this new work is nothing short of top notch just like before.
Some quick highlights:
- Reworked component system
- New Grid code that supports grouping and summary level data
- Treeview with columns
- Web desktop
- Web portal
Check out the blog entry for more info.
Or just grab a copy here and enjoy!
Now that the release is available we can more seriously look at converting Ext.nd over, there are definitely some components that will be nice to have with Domino.

That grouping option looks like the perfect way of dealing with categorized views. I heard getting categories working perfectly with domino and Ext has been very difficult. Grouping Example: http://extjs.com/deploy/dev/examples/grid/grouping.html

Just curious on the status/road map for ext.nd and 2.0. The last demo database btw was very useful in getting a prototype up and running.
