Ext, Javascript, Notes/Domino, Ext.nd, Ruby on Rails

Jack Slocum is at it again, this time he whipped up a quick application using Ext and either Google Gears or Adobe AIR. I know AIR has been supporting Ext for a while now as THE framework to use for their applications, but it’s nice to see it up and running.

Jack created a nice clean task tracking application that looks very similar to Ext web applications and actually uses most of the same code :) I had the example up and running within minutes after downloading the AIR runtime and the small archive of code. Definitely will keep this in mind if I ever find the need to take an application off-line or perhaps just have an off-line piece.

Anyway, check out the article, download and give it a swing.

  1. I was wondering if you ever thought of changing the page layout of your site? Its very well written; I love what youve got to say. But maybe you could a little more in the way of content so people could connect with it better. Youve got an awful lot of text for only having one or two pictures. Maybe you could space it out better?
