Ext, Javascript, Notes/Domino, Ext.nd, Ruby on Rails

I actually attempted this switch a while back and had a bad round of luck ending up in some minor downtime. This time around I manually copied over everything and things went a lot more smoothly. I’m certainly glad to be rid of globat and their constant pestering for account upgrades. I’m now giving things at Media Temple a shot since I picked up a free years hosting at a past An Event Apart.

So far I’m pretty happy, I had an issue with the database early on which they were quick to remedy. Things certainly seem to be running a lot faster which is what I was looking for. Also their admin interface totally leaves globat in the dust.

I’ll have to see how things go for throughout the rest of the year, but I think their off to a good start.
